Samir Nasri leaving the Ligue 1 and interested in Arsenal
MARSEILLE, France, May 27 - Olympique de Marseille Samir Nasri game is to leave the club in Ligue 1 and is interested in a move to Arsenal, his agent said Tuesday.
"It will leave OM. This will be done in the coming days, Jean-Pierre Bernes, who said last week that Arsenal made an offer for France International, told local television LCM.
"The offer Arsenal took an interest in a sporting point of view. I think that in his career plan, it is something very interesting for him."
Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger told French television channel TF1 at the weekend was a chance that 20 years Nasri could join the London Club. "If it did (se), it would be before Euro 2008," said Wenger.
Nasri, who is in a provisional 30-strong squad for France Euro 2008, began his professional career in Marseilles in 2004. He extended his contract with the club this year until 2012.
